I'm here watching Real NBA on the tube....on New Year's Eve && I'm under the covers really snugg'd up.

I plan on celebrating the night with ESPN on TNT, a little Badu for the soul, && a glass of Sparkling grape juice....yes, I said it!

As stated on my FB, This year I don't have a resolution. It's not logical to me that one day you can be so motivated and set so many goals...it's just one day. So, I don't have one honestly. All I try to do in LIFE is just be better today than I was yesterday. Nothing less.

Anyways it's almost "Twenty-'10" [That's what I plan to reference it as--] & I'm up as usual at 5AM in the morning, as if there's not a care in the world. But, trust me my plate is stacked high. I'm just pushing it to the side at the moment...I'll enjoy this dessert first.

Lately: I've grown a fascination w/ the NBA & esp NBA TV. This is mostly due to the fact that I had NO clue that we had the channel. I called my mom like two months ago, and she swore up & down we didn't have it. Maybe she paid for who knows. I'm not complaining!

Truthfully...Erykah Badu has been on rotation since I heard "Otherside of the Game". I had to buy her LIVE album. I mean I HAD too. The live music with her vocals is just beautiful...

That song [above] is spiritual. I know I have posted this on my FB & Twitter but, oh my did she sang that song!! I have played this song a total of: 49 times; if you count the 3 diff downloads of this song I have. One is a LIVE version (the one above), & two are studio versions. Don't ask why...it just is.

Anyways...she is the truth && I'm officially in love w/ her talent!

- I don't have a NEW year's resolution but, my solution is to better than I was yesterday.

- I'm grateful for all of my accomplishments up to this point. && next year is going to be a test on whether OR not I can handle them all. We shall see...

- I still have that heart dollar bill thingy (see old post). Sometimes I want to spend it when I'm broke but, It's too beautiful to tear apart.

- I marked mail from Obama (you know those generic messages) as SPAM this afternoon, just because I got tired of seeing it in my yahoo mail inbox. Don't worry, I did the same thing to Fast Web (Scholarships) as well. *I kno, I kno!

- It's 5:34AM and I'm sitting here watching NBA TV still....well listening to it really.

- I'm getting a name necklace soon. Thing is I have a problem narrowing my decisions down. I just changed this layout & took less than 30 min. to decide. FYI: It usually takes me hours! Anyways, I had to ask the lady to copy the pages in the catalog so I can drool look over the design of necklace I want...It's sad, really!

- I have an ADDICTION to black heels. I don't know what it is but, black is so classy and it really catches my eye [go figure]. I got the cutest heels for Christmas....

Butter Pecan Icecream Machine

[Excuse the title of this post. It's late & I don't really care to think of anything spectacular.]

I have been tryin' to get things together for school lately && I haven't even touched a suitcase yet. I have so many new jeans, it ridiculous!! It seems that every time I go shopping, I end up w/ lop-sided outcomes. It's either I have too many shirts, && not enough jeans OR in this case, too many jeans, && not enough shirts. So the plan is to get more shirts of course.

I got a dope pair of boots 2day from Bakers && a pair of Nine West wedges [from NC last weekend]...so a NEW "Shoe Flix" is on the way!! :)

&& I just finished a good 'ol cup of Butter Pecan ice cream [I got it && only that 4rm Publix] && it's to die 4, hence the name of this post.

Lately, I've been tryin' to get back into my old retainers && it's the worst. Imagine fitting an elephant into a dog's mold. && It hurts like crazy but, I've gotta get my teeth back to what they were. The agony & social pressure of having perfect teeth [kiddin' of course]!!

Just remembered, that I ALSO bought a 2Pac poster today. My dorm wall is goin' to be full of art this year, just like my room at home. You should've seen me at Wal-Mart when I saw the MJ Thriller poster on sale! My wall is gonna' be AMAZING! I kinda' want a Tracy Mcgrady poster as well. He is just so attractive to me. I can't wait till the NBA season begins so, I can go & watch him play. Oh, what a day that will be!

But, I gotta attempt to go to bed. Much to do in the morning. Sweet Dreams.

Epiphany: Goodbye, Sneakers??

[Yea, i kinda had 2 epiphanies in one week, so wat!]

I also realized as I'm gettin' older that I am slowly moving away from the whole sneaker fad. Maybe it's a temporary thing, i don't know, but, it seems like I'm all into heels, sandals, && wedges. I used to be that girl that had to have a fresh pair of Air Forces for school. && this year that tradition might be broken. In all honesty, I used to be very insecure of my feet but, by the pics I have posted you can see that insecurity is gone. I wear my Rainbow flip-flops almost everyday now, it's crazy.

So, for now, good bye sneakers. Maybe when I see something that really catches my eye, I'll return but for now these heels have got me in a serious chokehold, lol.

Epiphany: Holdin' Grudges

I recently had an epiphany. It hit me all of sudden to let things go. Things in the past should remain where they started. I am about to hit 20 years old this year && for me to hold onto childish drama is ridiculous. So I'm learing to forgive. I may never forget it but, I forgive it.

So, tomorrow my mother && I are supposed to be headed two places: Concord Mills mall && Carolina Place Mall. I am so excited b/c while we have been meaning to go somewhere this summer, we never got around to doing something special so, this is that chance.

I'm really excited to go to Forever 21. I love that store. You can really get lost b/c there's just soo many clothes in there! You can become anyone you want to be a && play dress up [&& buy the clothes of course].

&& we're supposed to be staying in a hotel up in NC too. Tomorrow is gonna be a busy day, indeed.

What else is new? Nothing much, tho I should be applying for a Fall job. I've been blogging so much that I've lost touch with my Twitter [surprisingly, not my FB.] && been watchin' tv a lot. I have developed a serious case of insomnia too...it's the worse.

I move in back to school in a week && it's crazy! I feel like my summer was 4ever! We got out May 5 && will return at the end of August. That's almost 4 months of summer, which is BANANAS!!

Ok, enough here. Gotta get somethin' done 2night.

Selective Stylish Shopping

So, I went shoppin today at Target & TJ Maxx, two great stores b/c of their prices. I used to think Target wasn't a decent place to buy clothes from until this Summer I got some great basic pieces. They have the softest cotton tees & they fight perfectly. So, I had to get some things from there for school.

Target: grey cotton dress, denim boot leg jeans [that fit so well!], brown cardigan vest, white pocket tee [ which I have in Pink & I'm wearing now :)], && grey basic tee that was on clearance [$3.00].

All of that under $80.00

Then I headed over to TJ Maxx, which is discount/sale city! I got a pair of ripper capris [pictured on the far right] && they are BOMB! As I was looking in the show section, I saw so many labels. Jessica Simpson, Michael Kohrs!!!, BCBG, & more. Then on the very last aisle in my size [7 1/2], I spotted black heels that were $15.00!!! Guess the brand?! 'Madden Girl' by Steve Madden'. I tried them on that instant, I couldn't believe it! They have the cork-like bottom to it & are surprisingly comfortable. I love them :) && all the other pieces i got.

Total: $112.00

[Thank God for sales!]

...This weekend it's me & 'Forever 21'. I will be in heaven :)

Third Times A Charm

Today, I decided I needed another outlet, another blog. But, this time It had to be personal. If you read "Tha Ingredients Of My Life" [TIOML] frequently, or just skim the posts you'll notice my life isn't a big part of it. That is not what intended. I had named it that because, it was supposed to reflect who I am. It just so happened that nearly all of my posts are targeted to the lives, music, quotes, and pictures of others...not of my own.

So, this is my second [third actually] shot at it.

I felt like whenever I added personal posts on "TIOML", it didn't seem to fit it in. It messed up the flow of the blog. So for now on all of that personal stuff will be posted here, on RELISH. You're also probably wondering why the name RELISH? Initially, it may sound like the toppings of a good hot dog, you know that green gooey stuff. But, that's not where I was headed.
Relish can be defined as both a noun & a verb. Relish, the noun, is a 'pleasing, or enjoyable quality', a 'zest' or 'flavor' for something. As a verb it is defined as to 'savor', 'cherish', 'look forward to', and most importanty 'appreciate'. All of these are qualities of how I view my life. I relish it.

Therefore, I present RELISH. This is about my life, 4real this time :)
